Participants of “Shusha creativity workshop” familiarized themselves with cultural capital of Azerbaijan

Organized by the Ministry of Culture, with the support of the Shusha City State Reserve Department, the “Shusha creativity workshop” project was implemented in the cultural capital of Azerbaijan on August 26-28 with the participation of creative people. As part of the project, creative professionals from Azerbaijan and Turkiye gathered in Shusha.


The event participants - People's Artists, composers Sardar Farajov and Salman Gambarov, Honored Artist, musicologist Zumrud Dadashzade, together with famous bloggers from Turkiye visited the Yukhari Govharaga Mosque and the Shusha Realniy School, the Jidir Duzu plain, the central square where the shot statues of Natavan, Bulbul and Uzeyir Hajibayli stand, the Shusha fortress, as well as familiarized themselves with the ongoing renovation and restoration works in the city. As a follow-up to the project, it is planned to organize a gala night and a presentation of the works created by impressions of the participants' visit to Shusha by the end of this year.


During the trip, which started from the square where the shot statues of Natavan, Bulbul and Uzeyir Hajibayli stand, People’s Artist, Director of the House Museum of Uzeyir Hajibayli Sardar Farajov highlighted the personality and creativity of the genius composer, as well as the history of the statues.


Honored Artist Zumrud Dadashzade spoke about the creativity of Bulbul and Khan gizi Khurshudbanu Natavan, emphasizing that the 125th anniversary of Bulbul and the 190th anniversary of Natavan were widely celebrated in the country this year.


Following the remarks, the participants visited the famous sights of Shusha.

The project aims to once again raise public awareness on Armenian barbarism, the destruction of Azerbaijani monuments committed in its historical and ancestral lands during almost 30-year-long occupation, as well as closely introduce Azerbaijan’s cultural legacy, rich history and traditions through the works of creative people who joined the project.
