On September 20, a concert program was presented in Shusha within the framework of the XIV Uzeyir Hajibeyli International Music Festival, AZERTAJ reports.

The special representative of the President of Azerbaijan in Shusha district, Aydin Karimov, said that it is a great honor to hold such a grand event in the fortress-city.

Azerbaijani State Folk Instruments Orchestra under the baton of People's Artist Agaverdi Pashayev, performed in the concert program held within the framework of the festival. The soloist of the open air concert in front of the statue of Uzeyir Hajibeyli is People's Artist Farhad Badalbeyli.

The program included the overture from the opera "Koroglu" by Uzeyir Hajibeyli, as well as works by students of the genius composer.

Note that in accordance with the relevant Decree of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, the day when the genius composer was born – September 18 is traditionally celebrated as the National Music Day in our country.
