The pairs of the second round were determined in the rapid competitions of the "Shusha Chess-2022" international chess tournament held in Shusha, AZERTAJ reports.

In the second round of the women's competitions Khanim Balajayeva will face Gunay Mammadzadeh, Kubra Ozturk with Nana Dzagnidze, Gulnar Mammadova with Meri Arabidze, Yolanta Zavadska with Ulviyya Fataliyeva and Govhar Beydullayev will face Marcel Efroimski.

In men's competitions, Gadir Huseynov will face Indian Vidit Santosh Gujrati, Rauf Mammadov with Shahriyar Mammadyarov, Hao Wang with Rustam Gasimjanov, Vasif Durarbeyli with Parham Maqsudlu and Teymur Rajabov with Mustafa Yilmaz.

The games of the tour will start at 15:00. Four rounds will be played today. In the first round of the women's competition, G. Beidullayeva drew with Kh. Balajayeva, M. Efroimski (Israel) Y. Zavadska (Poland), and U. Fataliyeva drew with G. Mammadova. Georgian N. Dzagnidze defeated G. Mammazade, and Turkish athlete K. Öztürk defeated M. Arabidze (Georgia). In the men's competitions, Sh. Mammadyarov defeated G. Huseynov, V. Durarbeyli defeated H. Wang, the representative of China, and Indian S. Vidit defeated M. Yilmaz (Turkiye).

T. Rajabov drew with P. Magsudlu (Iran), and R. Gasimjanov (Uzbekistan) drew with R. Mammadov. The tournament will be concluded on September 24.

Note that the tournament is jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Azerbaijan Chess Federation and Shusha City State Reserve.
