MARTYRS OF THE PATRIOTIC WAR WERE COMMEMORATED IN BERLIN

On September 27 an event was held by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Germany in connection with the Rememberence Day at the Martyrs' Mosque in Berlin, founded in 1866. Then videos dedicated to our martyrs were shown. The Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Germany, Nasimi Aghayev, spoke about the selfless struggle of the Azerbaijani army for the restoration of the territorial integrity of our country during the 44-day Patriotic War, and the heroism of our soldiers and officers. The diplomat said that as a result of determination and wise leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, our armed forces were able to liberate our territories, which were under the enemy's foothold for nearly 30 years, from occupation in a short period of time. Then Umut Topçuoğlu, counselor-ambassador of the Turkish Embassy in Germany, delivered speech. In his speech, the speaker emphasized that Turkey was always with Azerbaijan both during and after the Patriotic War, and also prayed for God's mercy on the martyrs of Azerbaijan.  Ayfer Fulya Yücekök, Counselor of the Turkish Embassy in Germany and Rıfkı Olgun Yücekök, Consul General of Turkey in Berlin, employees of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Germany, as well as representatives of the Azerbaijani and Turkish diaspora operating in Germany took part in the commemorative event.
