Risk factors posing threat to monuments in Shusha have been identified, it
was reflected in the “Regulation of monitoring historical and cultural
monuments located in the territory of Shusha city”, APA reports.
The main natural risk factors that pose a threat to monuments include
earthquakes, storms, the effects of overflowing lakes and reservoirs, erosion,
floodwaters, landslides, and natural fires, and main anthropogenic risk factors
that endanger monuments include disruption of the geological environment,
destruction of vegetation, noise, vibration and other violations of the natural
physical parameters of the environment, environmental pollution, and fire as a
result of engineering and agricultural works.
